Brighton & Hove SeaCheck — weekly sea-water quality results
Volunteers sample the sea along the Sussex coast every week and test it for the bacteria that indicate sewage pollution. These are the latest results, with plain-English context. E. coli is measured in colony-forming units (cfu) per 100 mL; the Environment Agency rates ≤250 as Excellent and ≤500 as Good.
